The Map panel depicts either a political or photo-realistic image of the earth with proper night shading. Up to eleven different map projections can be shown.
Clocks
Just as in the Time Bar, the Map panel can display the current local time in three cities.
Map Styles
Maps may be shown in two different styles. The Living Earth style uses satellite imagery from The Living Earth, Inc. and shows city lights and proper moonlight illumination. You may also use a political map.
The popup menu in the lower left corner of the window can be used to set the map style and projection. In addition, a zoom level of 100% to 300% can be set with the slider in the lower right.
